Post acquisition, the newly formed technology organization aimed to accelerate the scale and speed at which the company creates customer value with transformative products and services in the digital space.
The Goal
The technology organization was faced with the challenge to fully integrate their multiple AWS and data center environments to provide streamlined and secure access while complying with US & EU regulatory requirements, improving on reliability, cost, and creating clearer visibility.
The Challenge
With two distinct cloud and data center footprints, it was imperative to assess and design a migration approach that would meet the organizations’ goals while eliminating the possibility of disrupting operations.
The Solution
Protagona approached these challenges from a foundational standpoint, starting by first fully understanding the customer’s existing pain points and ensuring that their capabilities were in alignment with any proposed solutions.
The Well Architected Framework was used as the guiding principles to establish a maturity baseline for Security, Operations, Performance, and Cost management capabilities. This allowed Protagona to closely inspect the target environments during the engagement.
Armed with this baseline, Protagona’s team developed a comprehensive remediation and phased adoption plan for an East-West cloud transit network with firewalling capabilities and egress traffic inspection.
